Learn More about Montmorency Falls

In addition to the majestic Niagara Falls, Canada also has Montmorency Falls located in the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency National Park in Québec. Located 12 km from the center of Québec city is Montmorency Falls, a national park possessing beautiful natural scenery in all four seasons of the year, especially autumn. Montmorency Falls is located between the two counties Beauport and Boischatel. The falls are located at the mouth of the Montmorency River and then tumble down the cliff and enter the Saint Lawrence River opposite the west side of the Île d'Orleans. The waterfall has a height of up to 84m, higher than the legendary Niagara Falls.

The park designed a bridge across the waterfall. Crossing the bridge above a waterfall pouring water deep below is a sight that makes many people overwhelmed. The great thing is that the autumn scene is getting closer and closer now. From above, the green and red colors of the trees and leaves shine down, making the scene even more magical. If you haven't seen the waterfall from the top yet, you can still go to the opposite bridge to see the waterfall from another angle. Montmorency Falls Park is literally a sight-seeing place, people create many paths so that everyone can see the falls from all angles. The sound of the waterfall rumbling below created a huge, unceasing noise. In the rare autumn scene, the waterfall is adorned in every corner.

For those who have a lot of time and enjoy the sport of scenic walking, they can choose to climb the waterfall by 450-step wooden stairs. You can see the waterfall at a very close angle from the foot to the top. In the warm spring, summer and early autumn, you can also try your hand at zipline (swinging over the waterfall with a cable attached directly to your body) or mountain climbing.
